Pack scarabs are man-sized beetles used as pack animals. Although clumsy and stupid they are fearless and prefer a diet of feces, carrion and filth. Although they can be fed Zorse feed, in environments where dung and rotting matter abounds they are capable of feeding themselves. Although the males of the species sport a curved horn, it is not a weapon and is often used to anchor a lead to male pack scarabs.
