Some Butt Head is Flapping His Ignorance Hole About "A Box"

Talking a lot of jibber jabber about fear, judgement and conformity.

This is the essay about "A Box" that you should be reading instead.

Did this man care about "boxes?"

As near as I have thus far sussed, some people have far too much wrapped up in one version or another of original sin, to be able to afford to see anything but the lamest version of others. They can't see you as a bright and shining star, and keep seeing themselves as damned, deplorable creatures.

    Thanks for posting that, Blair.

  2. Do you mind clarifying what on earth you are talking about? Is there an RPG controversy that I've missed?

In recent weeks, a group of OSR bloggers have been lambasting Jim Raggi for the "objectionable" artwork and/or "nihilistic" tone of "Lamentations of the Flame Princess: Grindhouse Edition" as well as Zak S's "Vornheim," and Goodman Games' "Dungeon Crawl Classics Role Playing Game." One of these bloggers, a Mr. Greg Christopher, just posted a strange tirade about how fans of Mr. Raggi (as well as furries and those who "masturbate to horror films") are "in a box."

It's better if you just read it yourself.

If had a time machine, I'd go back to 4th century Hippo to beat some sense into "Saint" Augustine.

  8. ....on a more hilarious note, how much do you want to be that you could cause a riot with that book, a time machine and the height of the anti-D&D craze? :D

Good art, rather creepy in how many women seem to be getting brutally killed in it, but I've got a hunch that that is part of 'grindhouse' whatever that is.

    Potato Head
    He was a potato head
    Crispier than you and me

    Potato head
    He was a potato head
And it determined what he could be

    But he had job
    And he had his cause
    And he cooked the bacon
    So no one knew
